Who is Jasmine?
Jasmine is the princess of Agrabah in Disney's animated film Aladdin. She wants to decide for herself what her life will be like and to see the world beyond the palace walls. Familiar parts of her story include her tiger, Rajah, and a ride on a magic carpet.
How old is Jasmine? Aladdin (1992) never gives Jasmine's age.
Jasmine wants to explore the world outside the palace and to have a say in decisions about her own life. So a game about her can be about more than a pretty outfit. It can be about choices: where to go, whom to trust, how to explain what you want. This page covers Disney's animated Aladdin; other film versions change some of the events.

Plan a magic carpet route
Our own activity ideas inspired by the story — for drawing, toys and telling stories aloud.
- Plan three stops for a magic carpet ride: a city on a cloud, a garden of singing flowers and a library in the middle of the desert. Draw the route and decide whom the heroes will help along the way.
- Hold a palace council with your toys. Each one brings its own idea for a party. Try to find a plan that includes several different wishes.
Talk about it together: How would Jasmine tell her friends where she wants to go? What should they do if their plans don't match?
Let’s play!
A castle for your own palace stories
In My Little Princess: Castle, kids can act out a royal council, a reception for guests or getting ready for a ball. They decide which of the available characters plays each role. If hunting for secrets matters more, compare it with Papo Town Castle, which has puzzles to solve.

Questions about the heroine
What is the name of Jasmine's tiger?
Jasmine's tiger in Disney's animated Aladdin is named Rajah. He is her loyal companion in the palace of Agrabah.
How old is Jasmine?
Aladdin (1992) never gives Jasmine's age. The Sultan only reminds her that she must marry a prince by her next birthday, which is three days away. Many websites say she is 15, but we found no primary source for that number: no line in the film and no statement from the people who made it.
