This guide is for parents whose child loves Toca Boca World but keeps asking for a palace. We compared App Store and Google Play listings in the US on 13 October 2026. We didn't play-test the apps, and any ages we suggest are editorial guidance based on the format.

Does Toca Boca World have a princess castle?

Not according to its listings. As of 13 October 2026, neither the App Store description nor Toca Boca's own Toca Boca World page names a castle, palace or princess location. The in-app purchases shown on the App Store are homes, a mall, a hospital, a university and furniture packs, plus a "Character Creator" item at $4.99.

To play princess there, your child can design one in the Character Creator and decorate a home for her.

Toca Boca World is free to download, with packs from $0.99 to $4.99 in the App Store list; Google Play shows items from $0.49 to $199.99, and its US listing carries the notice "In-Game Purchases (Includes Random Items)". It carries no ad label on either store and describes itself as "a single-player kids' game" with no chat. Apple lists it as "Made for Ages 6–8", and Toca Boca's site counts more than 90 locations and 500 characters.

What "like Toca Boca" means here

The apps below share Toca Boca World's basic idea, according to their listings: a dollhouse where children move characters between rooms, change outfits and cook, with no score to chase. Papo Town Castle and Jibi Land add clues and treasure puzzles on top. Several mention multitouch or playing together on one device. They differ in theme, in how much comes free and in how you pay for the rest.

A few details from the listings that the table can't hold:

  • My Little Princess comes as two apps. The free one has ads and sells characters and subscriptions. The paid one lists no purchases on the App Store but still shows an in-app purchases label on Google Play, where it costs $4.49. The free edition has its own fact page.
  • Royal Castle is the only officially licensed Frozen game here. Neither listing says which rooms or characters come free. See our Royal Castle fact page.
  • Papo Town Castle says rooms you buy stay yours permanently, yet the App Store also lists monthly and yearly subscriptions. Those are different offers, so check what a button says before you tap it. The developer says no Wi-Fi is needed. More on our Papo Town Castle page.
  • Pepi Wonder World doesn't say which islands come free. Pepi Pass has two prices, $5.99 and $49.99, with no billing period stated in the list, and the description links to subscription terms.
  • Jibi Land's developer is the only one here that starts its range at 6: "designed for children between the ages of 6-12", with under-6s playing alongside a parent.
  • Tizi Town Princess Castle is one of several similarly named Tizi princess apps from the same publisher; we checked App Store ID 6449089130. Its description compares it with Frozen and other franchises' characters, but nothing in the listing points to a Disney license. The iOS app was last updated in April 2024, while the Google Play version was updated on 13 April 2026.

None of the eight App Store pages we checked, Toca Boca World included, shows Apple's "Messaging and Chat" notice.

Pay once, buy packs or subscribe

Pay once. My Little Princess : Castle ($3.99) is the clearest single payment on the App Store. Papo Town Castle sells a $3.99 full version and Tizi Town Princess Castle a $2.99 all-scenes purchase, but both come with ads on Google Play, and Papo also lists subscriptions.

Packs. Toca Boca World, Jibi Land, Pepi Wonder World and the free My Little Princess sell locations, characters or islands one by one. Single packs cost $0.99 to $9.99 on the App Store, but totals can grow, and Google Play's price ranges show how far: up to $199.99 per item for Toca Boca World and $16.99 for Pepi.

Subscription. Royal Castle sells a $9.99 monthly plan. The free My Little Princess lists My Town subscriptions at $9.99 a month and $59.99, Papo lists $9.99 a month and $89.99 a year, and Pepi has Pepi Pass. A subscription renews until you cancel it in your account settings.

The App Store shows a short list of in-app items and doesn't always say which are subscriptions; names like "Monthly" are the clue. Our guide on how to read a kids' App Store listing explains the rest of the labels. Before the first session, set up purchase approval with our guide to stopping in-app purchases.

Which to pick if…

  • Your child already loves Toca Boca World. Keep it, and let her design a princess in the Character Creator. Add a castle app only if she keeps asking for one.
  • She wants Elsa and Anna. Disney Frozen Royal Castle, with a subscription for the extra content.
  • You want one payment and no ads on iPhone. My Little Princess : Castle.
  • She likes clues and secrets. Papo Town Castle. Its story has a witch and a dungeon, so we suggest it from 6.
  • She wants dragons, islands and lots of characters. Pepi Wonder World, if English-only menus are fine.
  • An older child likes pets and treasure hunts. Jibi Land: Princess Castle.
  • You need Russian. Both My Little Princess editions, Tizi Town Princess Castle and Toca Boca World list Russian; Royal Castle, Papo, Pepi and Jibi Land don't.

Checked on 13 October 2026 in the US App Store (store pages and iTunes Lookup), US Google Play listings and Toca Boca's Toca Boca World page. Prices are in US dollars. Prices, ads, purchases and languages change by country, version and device, so check your own store before paying. For more princess apps in one table, see our princess game fact sheet.
