Who is Sofia the First?
Sofia the First is a Disney Junior heroine. When her mother marries the king, Sofia becomes a princess and has to settle into a new life. Her stories are about friendship, helping others and staying yourself in an unfamiliar world.
After the move to the palace, Sofia has to get used to a new family and new rules. She doesn’t know everything in advance, so she learns from everyday encounters and mistakes. Your child knows this feeling: a first day at school, in a new class or with a new group of friends. In pretend play, you can decide together who helps the newcomer fit in.

Sofia’s first day at a magic school
Our own activity ideas inspired by the story — for drawing, toys and telling stories aloud.
- Imagine a new student’s first day at a magic school. Who shows her the library? How does she meet someone who is shy too? Act out their conversation with toys.
- Draw a pendant with a symbol of a good deed: a hand, a flower or a little house. Make up a short story in which the symbol reminds the heroine of an important promise.
Talk about it together: What would help you on your first day at a new school? How would you welcome a new student yourself?

Stories about a new family and a new home
In My Little Princess: Castle, your child can decide who lives in the palace and how a new guest is welcomed. Start with a small scene: show the guest a room, introduce the neighbors and pick something to do together. A story like this doesn’t need access to every room.
We picked these apps for the activity they offer. We have not confirmed that this heroine appears in them.
